At Englewood on the Palisades Charter School, each student from Kindergarten through 8th grade is equipped with a Chromebook that plays a vital role in their education, both for daily learning and State-Wide Testing. These devices provide seamless access to essential applications via Google Cloud, including Google Docs for word processing, Google Sheets for data analysis, and Google Slides for presentations, among other tools. Additionally, students benefit from the Clever platform, which offers streamlined access to a variety of educational resources such as iReady, IXL, Savvas, Illustrative Math, and BrainPop.
Internet:
Every computer in the school is networked for Internet access. Internet filtering software is installed on each computer where applicable. Staff members also monitor student internet usage through Securly - they can see what students are doing in real time and receive alerts about inappropriate usage. Parents and teachers can rest assured the children are not accessing any undesirable websites.
